A minimum wall thickness of 87.5% applies unless the purchaser specifies a different wall thickness tolerance.
Out of round is the sum of absolute values of plus and minus tolerances.
The shape of these caps shall be ellipsoidal and shall conform to the requirements given in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Length E applies for thickness not exceeding that given in column “Limiting all Thickness for length E”.
Length E1 applies for thickness greater than that given in column “Limiting all Thickness for length E”.
For NPS 26 and larger, length E1 shall be by agreement between the manufacturer and purchaser.
